Histovet - Surgical Pathology
It's all about choices! When you travel, for example, you can choose the bland predictability of one of the large multinational hotels . . . or you can experience the unique character, intimacy, and responsiveness of a small boutique hotel.
We offer you that same choice. You can choose the large corporate laboratories or you can experience the award-winning Histovet difference.
Our distinctive reports are our trademark: literate, detailed, opinionated, and absolutely committed to providing the most helpful information possible. They are more than just descriptions and diagnoses: they offer honest feedback about the quality of submissions and provide additional pearls of wisdom about pathogenesis, prognosis or even treatment.
We are not for everyone! From you, we expect good histories and good samples. From ourselves , we demand the very best in diagnostic accuracy and in the clinical utility of our reports.
For the last 38 years, Histovet has served the needs of veterinary practitioners from coast to coast who are seeking a more personal interpretation of their surgical biopsy and cytology samples in oncology, dermatopathology, ocular pathology, and internal medicine. [Read more: Passion with a Plan]
Who are we?
Histovet Surgical Pathology, located at 21 Vardon Drive, Guelph, Ontario, Canada, is a veterinary diagnostic laboratory that provides microscopic evaluation of tissue or fluid samples submitted by veterinary practitioners from companion animals (almost exclusively dogs or cats). Our goal is to aid practicing veterinarians in making accurate disease diagnoses, thus allowing more efficient and effective disease management. We serve over 1,000 veterinary hospitals worldwide, with surgical biopsies or fluid samples arriving daily via courier and our evaluations of those samples are reported within 48 hours.
Our commitment to quality is evidenced by six business quality awards and our registration to ISO 9001. We have an unambiguous quality policy to be the best in our field, and quality objectives that put that quality policy into action.
